VP Digital Channels

– part of Digital Banking in Bankdata

Overall responsibility for managing and developing the Digital Channels area consisting of an organisation of approximately 80 employees, including several managers. Responsible for the channel platform (Mozaic) that online banking and mobile banking and online solution to member banks employees are built upon.

With direct report to the SVP of a new business unit, you will be responsible for an area that receives high attention from top management and customers. Your focus will be on continuously developing the area through leadership, employee development, and broad stakeholder management, both internally and externally with member banks. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and projects across the organisation while also managing day-to-day operations in Digital Channels together with your skilled management team. 

It is essential that your area delivers cohesive and user-friendly solutions across the business areas, which includes new and older systems and technologies. The identity of the area is to empower other development teams to create successful features for the member banks. Therefore, you must always ensure efficiency, high service standards, and system uptime while staying one step ahead of market developments.

You will lead an organisation with high employee satisfaction and be a part of the extended executive leadership team across Bankdata. Your employees are based in Aarhus and Silkeborg, and you will have external stakeholders in the member banks.

Your key tasks will be to:

  • Set and drive the strategic agenda for the area and be a clear opinion former within digital product development.
  • Lead and own the agenda of consolidation on the channel platform and secure an excellent development experience. 
  • Support the UX core team with leading and implementing UX competences across Bankdata.
  • Ensure decentral’sed end-to-end ownership of digital features in the channels.
  • Operational leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Digital Channels area ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business needs.
  • Mentor and develop the existing leadership team and build a leadership/talent pipeline.
  • Lead the Product Group “Digital Channels” in close collaboration with the member banks. 
  • Act as Sparring Partner for the SVP and the member banks within the area. 
  • Manage the department’s finances, including budgeting and forecasting, and the area’s agenda within risk, compliance and security activities. 

It is crucial for your success that you can navigate waters where regulations are a daily reality and that you manage to create strong collaborations. 

Strong leadership profile with solid experience in end-user digital product development 
You excel in leadership and have experience with change management, employee development, and motivation. You naturally coach and guide your team of managers and have experience developing strategies and working with roadmaps, as well as playing an active role in their implementation.

You have substantial insight into the field of self-services and experience with leading multiple development teams within digital products/features. You have experience with new and older technologies and persist a strong vision for the technological agenda within the field.

Your business experience comes from medium to large companies that are mature in software development/engineering and have a strong digital focus. This background ensures you are accustomed to operating within a similar business model and understand what excellence looks like in that context.

As a person, you are a well-founded communicator and good at building relations across an entire organisation. You are structured, and as a leader, you are performance-driven and ambitious. You can set a course, create changes, and get people on board. You thrive ”building” rather than ”just” using existing processes and systems.
