Finance Director

Opportunity to join an environment designed to support development and growth. Ideal position for a talented and ambitious person. 

Arla Foods Ingredients is looking for a great leader to lead and develop the finance function, supporting the company’s continued rapid growth as a global leader in value-added whey and advanced nutrition.

Reporting to the VP for Finance and Business Development, you will oversee the overall performance of the finance department, which includes Controlling & Reporting, Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Finance Business Partner, and Performance Management. You will lead a team of 24 employees.

Ensuring the basis for global, sound financial decision-making

From the HQ in Viby J., the finance department ensures efficient systems and finance processes required for internal and external reporting. Your primary task will be to challenge the status quo and continuously improve the ways of working, which also involves close collaboration with international joint ventures and subsidiaries. Moreover, you will collaborate closely with the VP for Finance and Business Development in the process, and you will function as a financial sounding board.

Other primary tasks include:
  • Active involvement in performance management, including how finance contributes to enhanced performance and which KPIs to measure by.
  • Motivating and inspiring your team to ensure continuous productivity and development 
  • Enable smooth finance processes, continuously developing people and systems.
  • Ensure topmost quality in all deliveries within reporting, board material, forecasts etc.
  • Proactively develop analysis, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision making.
  • Enable your team to provide valuable business partnering to all parts of the value chain.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with Arla Foods Group Functions (Accounting, Tax, Legal, Treasury, etc.).

Solid auditing background with leadership experience from large industrial organization

You hold a relevant master’s degree, ideally with a background in auditing complemented by financial experience in a large industrial organization. Regardless of your exact background, you have experience from an organization with a full value chain, including production. You also have extensive management experience within a finance department, where you have handled a broad scope of financial activities and complex stakeholder management responsibilities.
